PolComm is a secure communication platform designed exclusively for authorized Bangladesh Police personnel to facilitate secure, real-time internal communication, coordination, and operational efficiency.
This App is intended solely for the official use of Bangladesh Police personnel and is not available to the general public.

The PolComm App collects information strictly necessary to provide its core functionalities and ensure the security and operational effectiveness of the Bangladesh Police. The types of information collected include:
- Authentication and Profile Information:
- User ID and Password: For secure login with two-factor authentication. This verifies your identity as an authorized Bangladesh Police personnel.
- Profile Data: Your name, rank, department, and official contact information (e.g., official phone number, email address) as provided by the Bangladesh Police administration for internal directory and communication purposes.
- Communication Data:
- Call Logs: Metadata related to one-to-one and group audio/video calls (e.g., caller/receiver IDs, call duration, time of call). The content of calls (audio/video streams) is transmitted encrypted end-to-end and is not stored on our servers.
- Message Data: Metadata related to one-to-one and group messages (e.g., sender/receiver IDs, timestamp). The content of messages is encrypted and stored securely on authorized Bangladesh Police servers.
- Push-to-Talk (PTT) Data: Metadata related to PTT communications (e.g., sender ID, timestamp, duration).
- Location Data:
- Real-time Location Tracking: Precise geolocation data is collected when the feature is actively enabled by authorized users or as required for operational purposes as determined by Bangladesh Police protocols. This data is used solely for internal operational efficiency, coordination, and personnel safety within the Bangladesh Police.
- Device Information:
- Device ID and Operating System: To ensure compatibility, security, and proper delivery of notifications.
- Network Information: To optimize communication quality and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Usage Data:
- Information about how you use the App's features (e.g., which features are accessed, frequency of use, performance data) for internal debugging, improvement, and operational analysis. This data is aggregated and anonymized where possible.
- How We Use Information
The information collected by PolComm is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- To provide secure communication: Facilitate one-to-one and group audio/video calls, PTT, and messaging among authorized police personnel.
- To ensure secure access and authentication: Verify user identity and maintain the integrity of the communication platform.
- To enhance operational efficiency and coordination: Enable real-time location tracking for resource deployment, emergency response, and personnel management.
- To improve App functionality: Analyze usage patterns and performance data to debug issues, optimize features, and enhance the overall user experience within the secure environment.
- To fulfill Bangladesh Police operational requirements: Adhere to internal policies, investigations, and legal obligations as mandated by the Bangladesh Police and relevant laws of Bangladesh.
- Data Storage and Security
- Encryption: All communications (audio, video, messages) are encrypted during transit (end-to-end encryption where technically feasible) and at rest (for stored message data).
- Secure Servers: All data collected and stored by PolComm resides on secure servers managed and controlled by or on behalf of the Bangladesh Police within secure data centers in Bangladesh.
- Access Control: Access to data is strictly limited to authorized Bangladesh Police personnel with a legitimate operational need, based on roles and permissions defined by the Bangladesh Police.
- Two-Factor Authentication: Robust security measures, including two-factor authentication, are implemented for all user logins.
- Regular Security Audits: The system undergoes regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to maintain its integrity and protection against unauthorized access.
- Data Sharing and Disclosure
- No Third-Party Sharing (External): PolComm does not share any personal or communication data with external third parties for commercial, marketing, advertising, or other non-operational purposes.
- Internal Sharing (Bangladesh Police): Data is shared internally within authorized units and personnel of the Bangladesh Police as strictly required for operational coordination, investigations, legal compliance, or as mandated by the Bangladesh Police administration.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by the laws of Bangladesh or in response to valid legal processes (e.g., court order, subpoena) directed to the Bangladesh Police.
